Anti-microbial, self-sanitizing nano coatings

for all surfaces.

This effective self-sanitizing nano-coating works through contact killing mechanism and remains active on surface for a minimum of 90 days if not damaged mechanically. 

The water borne thin film coating keeps surfaces free from microbes like virus, bacteria and other pathogens. The coating disinfects the surface itself by neutralising microbes and minimises colonisation of microorganisms. It has low surface energy and is easy to clean.

 

Action mechanism:

 

The action mechanism of the Nano coating is based on a combination of cationic silver ions and QUAT technology.

  • AgNPs inhibit the replication of virus nucleotidest. They bind to electron donor groups such as Sulfur, Oxygen, and Nitrogen commonly found in enzymes within the microbe. This causes the enzymes to be denatured thus effectively incapacitating the energy source of the cell and the microbe quickly dies.

  • The cationic silver (Ag+) and QUATs work to inactivate the SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) by interacting with its surface (spike) protein S based on its charge like it works in HIV, Hepatitis viruses, etc.

The water-borne breathable anti-microbial nano coating for HVAC filters protects against micro-organisms like viruses, bacteria mould, fungi and yeasts and conforms to global standards JIS L 1902 and AATCC 100. Applied in HVAC filters, Air filters and Air purifiers, the nano coating also helps with odour reduction.

HVAC compartmentalisation strategies.

Effective HVAC design strategies than control pathogen spread. These include compartmentalisation as well as the use of Local-Exhaust Ventilation systems (LEVs) for industrial or large open office settings. LEVs are essentially mechanical air exhausts which pull the air from an area and disperse it outside.

  • HEPA Filters can capture pathogens many times smaller than the Coronavirus. Used in combination with the nano coating, these offr effective protection.
